The optimal worldwide fame varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon come to you with a pinch of Aigialeia. A fresh, modern wine that has an intense character of fruits. Its purple red tones captivate the eye. Someone can easily distinguish the characteristic aromas of both varieties (pepper, red fruits with strawberry as the dominant one and red blossoms) that get sweeter with the malolactic fermentation effect they turn to chestnut, crème and caramel. It is rich in the mouth with sweet pleasant tannins and a great aromatic finish.

VINEYARDS

These varieties grow in specific places in Aigialeia: Aravonitsa 500m. Araxova 800m. and Greka 700m. on the foothills of Panahaiko mountain. Their soils consist of sand and clay on a geological background of sandstone with conglomerates and siltstone layers. Their yields are at about 70hl/ha.

This wine is a great match for meat especially wild game dishes. It is a modest pair of strong cheese and pasta with light red or spicy sauce and greek stews.
